Apprenticeship
Applications for the Electrical (Construction) Apprenticeship Program are accepted year-round
from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday.
APPLICANTS MUST APPEAR IN PERSON TO COMPLETE THE APPLICATION FORM
The application takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. Along with the completed application, official high school transcripts are required, they cannot be copied and must be directly from the school.

Scholarship
LOCAL 890’s Scholarship Program Guidelines
- The recipient of the scholarship shall be a member in good standing or an immediate family member of Local 890, I.B.E.W.
- The scholarship will be available for any applicant for enrollment as a full-time student in any accredited college, university, or vocational/technical school. Scholastic honors of the applicant will be considered along with other achievements, activities, and abilities shown by the applicant during his or her scholastic career. Applicants do not have to be honor students but must show a desire and the ability to do school work on a college or vocation/technical level.
- Applications should be received no later than April 15th.
- The recipients of the scholarship will be announced in June. Scholarship payment will be made at the beginning of the second semester after satisfactorily completing the first semester and showing proof of enrollment for the second semester. The maximum scholarship awarded is $500.00.
- The decision of the Scholarship Committee regarding the selection of the recipient and implementation of the scholarship shall in all cases be final.
